Joweh has received a call from lands afar...come October, we shall
embark on a journey south to Guatemala City, where we have been
invited to perform our own original show for two nights! We're working
hard to showcase all of our talents, from the roots of our belly dance
inspiration to our latest forays into fusion. But we cannot get there
by R.A.W. talent alone! That's where we need your help!

Are these windy days and misty nights leaving you cold? Well, it may not be the
sweltering summer we were expecting, but Joweh have plenty of belly dance
goodness planned to heat up your August! Our "Get Joweh to Guatemala" fund
raising campaign has really caught fire, thank you so much to all the donors who
have contributed to our cause! There are still lots of ways to help out, and be
entertained as well...
On Sunday, August 15th, at 7:00 PM, come join us for delicious Greek food and belly
dance at Papa's Taverna in Petaluma! One of our favorite spots to perform...
The next Sunday, August 22, from 7:30 - 9:30 PM, come see Joweh up close and
personal at our very special, intimate benefit show, "Pleasures of the East: Journey
the Silk Road with a Modern Twist," held at the sensuality boutique, Pleasures of the
Heart in San Rafael.
In case you missed our fantastic carwash last month, we will be sudsing it up again
at 1:00 PM on Sunday, August 29, at Aubergine in Sebastopol.
Don't forget, all these events we will be selling Joweh t-shirts and raffle tickets for our
big upcoming benefit party! We've set the date for 6:00 PM Sunday, September 19, at
Aubergine. Doubling as the official after-party for the North Bay Belly Dance Bazaar,
this killer show will be headlined by our friends, the sizzling electropop/dance band
Fans of Jimmy Century! Also performing are the acoustic ambient band, Arcane
Dimension, and of course, Troupe Joweh. We have a few more surprises in store for
this fabulous night, so stay tuned!
